| SALES PRESENTATION POLICY STATEMENT | ||
Only those sales presentations that are specifically authorized by the Company may be used. Use of an unauthorized sales presentation is grounds for immediate termination. Any false or misleading statements made in connection with the sale, or offering for the sale, of any product is also grounds for immediate termination. Among other things, all salespersons are required to observe the following guidelines when soliciting customers: 1. Stick to the script. Any deviation from it may result in your termination. 2. You must represent yourself as calling from the Company. 3. You must state where the Company is located pursuant to the script. 4. You must not suggest or imply that a customer should withhold any information from the verification department. 5. You must accurately advise the customer of the shipping time on the product. If they are expecting it sooner than it arrives, they may fear it is not going to come and cancel their order. Our standard shipping time is [specify days/weeks] from receipt of payment for the product. 6. Avoid rude behavior. Any substantiated reports of customer harassment or verbal abuse will result in your immediate termination. The kinds of statements, omissions or other conduct that constitute misrepresentations or deceitful conduct and will result in your immediate dismissal include:
7. You must make the customer realize that the Company is not selling and shipping merchandise subject to the customer's approval. Obviously, these are only a few of the possible ways a customer can be misled, and this list is not intended to be exclusive. You may not make any statement intended or likely to mislead a customer. If you are in doubt as to whether a particular statement is misleading, ask yourself, "Is what I am saying untrue?," and, "Even if what I am saying is technically correct, is my purpose in saying it to lead the customer to believe something other than what is in fact true?" If your answer to either question is "yes" do not make the statement. Not only are you violating Company Policy, you are violating the law! In order to further ensure that these standards will be followed by all salespeople, the Company will have a manager or assistant manager on the floor at all times monitoring your sales efforts. In addition, from time to time, "test" leads will be inserted into the group of leads that you happen to be working from. The customer will be fictitious, but you won't know that. Management evaluation of your performance will be based in part on how you interact with these fictitious customers. | ||
